According to Prof. Ishaq Oleyede, JAMB registrar, all institution has the freedom to set their own Cut Off Mark up to 220, but no institution is allowed go below the agreed minimum cut off marks.

It should be noted that, there are some institutions that will never accept the minimum cut off marks being agreed by the board and other stakeholders. There are some federal and state varsities that will never accept 140 cut off mark. Schools like OAU, UI, UNILORIN, UNN, ABU and many more.
