What Criteria Does FUOYE Use For Admitting Students?

The only criteria being used by The Prestigious Federal University Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE) for admitting students is by conducting an online screening for all applicants by diving their O’level Result And JAMB Score by certain ratios.

Another thing you need to know is that, before you can calculate FUOYE screening point, your O’level Result and your JAMB score would be used in calculation.

How does FUOYE grade their O’level Result? Below is how you can grade your O’level Result.

FUOYE O’level Result Grading System

  • A1=6points
  • B2=5points
  • B3=4points
  • C4=3points
  • C5=2points
  • C6=1point

You will need to calculate for five relevant subjects relating to your course of study.

FUOYE Sitting Point Grading System

  • One Sitting=10points
  • Two Sittings=6Points

After calculating for five relevant subjects relating to your course of study, you will need to add your sitting points to it.

FUOYE JAMB Score Grading System

Divide your JAMB score by 400 and multiply it by 60, the result is your FUOYE JAMB Score Percentage.

Now that you already know the things required for calculating FUOYE screening point, let’s proceed to how to calculate FUOYE screening point.

How To Calculate FUOYE Screening Point

  • Divide your JAMB score by 400 and multiply it by 60
  • Sum up your your five relevant O’level points relating to your course of study and your sitting points
  • Add up the above result. The total point is your FUOYE screening point.

EXAMPLE:

  • Let’s say MYSCHOOLPLUG had 280 in JAMB, the JAMB point would be calculated as 280/400 × 60=42%
  • Assuming MYSCHOOLPLUG had 5 A1’s Relating to his field of study and he is using one sitting, the O’level point would be calculated as (6×5) + number of sittings i.e 30+10=40%
  • MYSCHOOLPLUG FUOYE total screening point would be (JAMB%+O’level%+Sitting%) i.e 42%+40%=80%

How To Calculate FUOYE Screening Point For Direct Entry

  • First Class/Distribution/Excellence=60points
  • Second Class/Upper Credit/Credit=40points
  • Add your total O’level to get your final result
