PLASU ASUU Chapter Embarks On An Indefinite Strike

This was disclosed on Monday by Hassan Monday Zitta, the chairman, and SAMSON BITRUS, the secretary of the union.

The decision to embark on the strike action was made at a stakeholders meeting of the Union at the University.

Plateau State Government ASUU-PLASU MOA and resolved that the State Government has signed an MOA with the Union on 2nd March that led to the suspension of that strike action but the government has failed to:

provide Security agencies like the armed Civil Defence Corps on resumption.
failure to establish police Outpost within the University host community.
settle the National Minimum wage arrears within the first quarter of 2021, immediately release the sum of N70m as part payment of the Earned Academic Allowance arrears for the first tranche while the second tranche of 72 million in October 2021 has been long overdue.
The chairman declared that all the Academic activities will be suspended Until all demands are met
