The Federal University Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE), has now hit the 17th position out of the 284 Universities in Nigeria in webometric ranking. This is an exemplary ranking of the University which is unprecedented since the inception of the almost 12 years old institution.
The exciting development was disclosed to University Media team on Tuesday by the Deputy Director of FUOYE ICT, Mr. Samson Durojaiye. According to Durojaiye this laudable development is undoubtedly on the account of the uncommon managerial acumen of the incumbent VC, Prof. Abayomi Sunday Fasina.
In another exciting development, FUOYE has again rolled out admissions into graduate and undergraduate programmes of the upwardly mobile Ivory Tower. The good news about the new programmes is that candidates who get admitted for them will have uninterrupted academic calendar as they are internally managed by the University under the varsity’s Centre for Continuous education currently headed by Dr. Omolade Adeleke.
The FUOYE’s centre for Continuous education has the Institute of part time studies and other graduate programmes under its purview.
Graduate programmes currently available for admissions included Masters of Business Administration (MBA), Masters of Public Administration (MPA), Masters of Banking and Finance (MBF), Masters of Criminology and Security Studies ( MCSS), Master of Peace, Development and Security Studies, (MPDSS) , Masters of Personal Psychology and Management,l (MPPM) Masters of Strategic Management (MSM) Masters of Petroleum Economics, and (MPE) Masters of Environmental Management.(MEM)
Other special benefits of the Masters Degree programmes are that each programme runs for four semesters, entry quafications are flexible as they include first degrees, HND with Upper credit as well as HND with PGD, in relevant disciplines. Finally, there are opportunities to pursue Doctorate degrees in Business Administration and Public Administration after the relevant four semester graduate programmes.
Undergraduate programmes are also available for instant admissions into the faculties of Arts, Agriculture and Social Sciences as already approved by the National Universities Commission (NUC).
