The UBA National Essay Competition, targeted at senior secondary students in Nigeria is organized every year, as part of the UBA Foundation’s education initiative.

Requirements
- Applicants must be in Senior Secondary School
- Applicants must submit a recent passport photograph
- Applicants must submit a scanned copy of means of identification (National ID, birth certificate or passport)
- Applicants must submit a handwritten essay of 750words Maximum
Prizes And Reward
- Winner: N5 million educational grant to any African University of their choice.
- 1st Runner-up: N3 million educational grants to any African University.
- 2nd runner-up: N2.5 million educational grants to any African University.
