1. Score High In Your School POST UTME
If you have a low JAMB score and you want to increase your chances of gaining admission, you need to score high in your school POST UTME.
And how can you score high in your school POST UTME?, You can score high in your school POST UTME by preparing yourself ahead of the examination and make sure you study your school POST UTME past questions thoroughly.
Note: This is only applicable to schools who usually write POST UTME Exam and not screening.
2. Have A Strong O’level Result
This is only applicable to schools who doesn’t conduct written POST UTME Examination.
This simply means if you are aspiring for schools who does Online POST UTME Screening, you need to have a strong O’level Result to boost your chances of gaining admission.
This schools doesn’t need you to write POST UTME, but they will only screen your credentials like your JAMB score and O’level Result by dividing it by certain ratios.
Schools like FUOYE, UNIOSUN, FULAFIA, EKSU, KWASU, LASU does not write POST UTME, all you need is to have a strong O’level Result and score well in their POST UTME Screening Exercise.
3. Change Your Course Of Study
If you have a low JAMB score and you are going for high competitive course, it is advisable for you to change your proposed course of study to a less competitive course to increase your chances of gaining admission.
Let’s say you scored 160, and 180 in JAMB and you are going for highly competitive courses like Medicine And Surgery, Pharmacy, Dentistry, Nursing Science, without deceiving ourselves, me and you already know that this score is to weak for this courses.
If you fall into this category, all you need is to change your course to a less competitive course.
4. Change Your Institution
You are also advised to do a change of institution to any school you meet up with their admission requirements if you have a low JAMB score.
You can change your Institution to Universities, Polytechnics, Monotechnics, and Colleges Of Education that accept low JAMB scores.
You can also Change it to schools you meet up with their admission requirements.
5. Enrol For Pre-Degree Program
Another best alternative on the list for you if you have a low JAMB score is to enroll for Pre-Degree Program. It’s just a one year A’Level program.
If you can enroll for this and perform very well, this give you high chances of gaining admission. One of the demerits of this program is that not all schools offers it. e.g The University Of Ibadan (UI) does not offers Pre-Degree Program.
Another demerit of Pre-Degree Program is that they might probably change your course of study. Probably let’s say you are aspiring for Medicine And Surgery, they might change your course to zoology.
6. Enrol For IJMB/JUPEB Program
Another best alternative on the list is to enroll for IJMB and JUPEB Programmes. IJMB and JUPEB Programmes does not requires JAMB. It is just 6-10months programme.
One of the best advantages of this Programmes is that if you have high points, you don’t need to start from 100 Level, admission through this program is 200 Level.
This simply means that, you will join your colleagues in 200 Level without starting from 100 Level.

7. Obtain School Of Nursing Admission Form
The last but not the least is to obtain School of nursing admission form if you have a low JAMB score and you have a lot of interest in it.
