The Senior Staff Association of Nigeria Universities (SSANU) and the Non-Academic Staff Union of Allied and Education Institutions (NASU) on Friday suspended its nationwide strike for 60 days.
The National President made the announcement during a press briefing in Abuja.
The union would return to strike without notice if the government fails in meeting its part of the agreement reached within a short period of time.
The government, NASU, and SSANU have been at loggerheads over the reopening of public universities in the country.
The Federal Government met with the union today alongside various bodies which bring an end to the strike.
